Tuba

Playing the tuba took me from performing abroad and winning two Finnish Championships for Wind Bands (2007 and 2009) to running on theater stage and playing hundreds of times on streets and concert halls with duos, quartets and symphony orchestras - for some 20 years!

... and beyond.

I have worked with ca. 40 conductors of orchestras and choirs as a singer or playing the tuba, piano, recorders and violin.  I've also conducted a sing and play group myself. 

I'm currently focusing on the piano as well as exploring mobile synth apps! 

Video production

In 2015, I took part in creating a visualized guide to professional education. In the video production team, I operated the video camera and microphones, directed, scriptwrote and performed in the videos.

Literature

I majored in literature (University of Oulu 2008) and wrote my master's thesis on Severus Snape and focalization in Harry Potter. That makes me a potterologist!

Fine Arts

I love to visit art museums and galleries to experience the results of visual artists' creative powers.

I have also volunteered as an art gallery assistant and built a home together with a visual artist.

Theatre & Dance

I have studied theatre pedagogy and participated in several amateur theater productions as a stage musician, actor and director.

I also have more than a decade's worth of experience with dancing classical ballet, jazz dance and zumba.
