Service operations manuals 

My responsibilities:
After creating the service concept and operating model for the Borrow a Librarian guidance service, my next tasks were to 

  • design and write clear and easy-to-follow instructions for personnel working within the service
  • implement changes in services and guidelines when necessary
  • communicate changes and upgrades to internal audience and to customers
  • design, deliver and facilitate flexible onboarding, orientation, and skills training programs and content.

These manuals are for internal use only and not available online. 

Target audience:
Espoo City Library personnel working within the Borrow a Librarian service.

Client:
HelMet Libraries / Espoo City Library.

Printable user manuals

My responsibilities:
Study the services to learn to use them and understand users' needs. Research existing resources. Design and write manuals. Edit manuals according to user feedback.

Target audiences: 
Anybody using Espoo City Library's music studios, regardless of skill level. 
All Espoo City Library personnel using Nepton.

Presenting a range of information with PowerPoint

My responsibilities: 
As defined by the requirements set by managers, I gathered information, analysed it, created this informative design to present my findings, delivered the presentation and answered any questions from the audience.

Target audience:
Managers and training co-ordinators.

Gather or create information needed for a comprehensive guide, design a way to present the information in an engaging and clear way.

Personalisation illustrated

My responsibilities:
To create content for a visualised guide to personalisation of professional learning for migrants, I

  • produced written material for an online publication
  • wrote the script for and performed in an informational video about the Finnish education system
  • operated the video camera and directed these two videos:

Students and student councellors in vocational education.

Digital literacy in libraries

My responsibilities:
Design understandable, user-centric information content in English and Finnish: infographs, videos, websites, instructions and user manuals, eLearning, marketing campaigns, blog texts, articles and webinars.

Target audiences:
Anybody with an interest and a need for digital literacy services in Espoo area or nearby.
General public in need of support for online banking or for using the Social Insurance Institution of Finland's online services.
Espoo City Library personnel.

Video: Digital support in libraries: What is it?

"What is digital support in libraries and how does it work? "What kind of help can I get from digital support, and how can I get it remotely? And where can a digital supporter get digital support?" I made a video to answer these questions.

As a part of the Digital Support service concept, I create easy-to-read instructions both to my internal and external customers. Below are some examples:

Learning content design

I have created a range of learning content for five fields of vocational education using the Articulate 360 suite.

These works are property of the organisation that ordered them and not available online.

My responsibilities:
Study the clients' learning needs. Design content in collaboration with SMEs. Create content using the tools that best meet the requirements. Edit and update content where needed.

Target audiences:
Primary: Adult vocational education students in the fields of cleaning and property services, social and health care, mechanical engineering and production technology (welding), natural and environmental protection (waste management), and construction.
Secondary: Vocational and Finnish language teachers in said fields.

Resources for online language learning

My responsiblities: 
I utilised online tools such as Google Drive and Kahoot, and researched and gathered various online resources to create a set of differentiated educational online materials for a multi-cultural audience. Originally built for use on Google for Education platform, the materials are nowadays available for download here.

I also represented my organisation promoting the results of the project to external audiences.

Adults learning Finnish as second language on CEFR skills levels A1-B2.
